ORGAN-ON-A-CHIP

Microfluidics for Organ-on-a-Chip

We design and manufacture microfluidic devices for organ-on-a-chip and microphysiological systems — perfusion-culture chips with tissue interfaces and controlled flow, from research prototypes through to scalable production.

Devices that model living tissue

Organ-on-a-chip devices recreate the flow, shear and tissue interfaces cells experience in the body. We build them in gas-permeable PDMS for research and in thermoplastics for reproducible, scalable production. The background is in our guides to organ-on-a-chip and microfluidic cell culture.

What we make

  • Perfusion-culture chips with controlled media flow.
  • Membrane and multi-layer devices for tissue interfaces.
  • Aluminium moulds for PDMS casting — see PDMS moulds.

From PDMS research to production

Many organ chips start in PDMS and need a route to scale and to materials with less small-molecule absorption. We help plan that transition — see prototype to scale and our surface treatment guide.

Frequently asked questions

Do you manufacture organ-on-a-chip devices?

Yes — we design and manufacture perfusion-culture and organ-on-a-chip devices in PDMS and thermoplastics, from research prototypes to scalable production.

Why is PDMS used for organ-on-a-chip?

PDMS is optically clear, flexible and gas-permeable, which suits cell culture; for scale or reduced small-molecule absorption, devices can move to thermoplastics.

Can you scale an organ-on-a-chip from PDMS to production?

Yes — we help plan the transition from PDMS prototypes to thermoplastic, manufacturable designs while preserving the device's function.
